Menstrual Hygiene Managent

At ACRO Ghana, we promote sports to reduce anti-social behavior and build confidence in adolescent girls. While girls are encouraged to play football, it was observed that those who were menstruating felt uncomfortable playing without appropriate attire. The lack of proper sanitary products hindered their ability to participate fully and benefit from sports empowerment. As a result, ACRO Ghana is now focusing on menstrual Hygiene management for women, especially adolescent girls.

In Ghana, we discover not just a team on the field, but a family that sticks together and grows together.

FIFA Football for Hope

ACRO Ghana is pleased to work with FIFA Football for Hope (FFH). The partnership grew stronger in 2022 after FFH donated football equipment, enabling us to reach new communities like Subinkrom, Kyeremasu, and Asensu 1.
  • Football-based community engagement is used for anti-drug abuse education.
  • We promote Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) to support girls’ participation and wellbeing.
  • Our initiatives include environmental action to tackle sanitation issues and prevent environmental degradation.
  • We focus on talent scouting and development to help players progress to higher-level teams.
